Xsolis Launches ‘AI Amplified’ Podcast on Real-World Use of AI in Healthcare

Xsolis has launched a new podcast series, AI Amplified, focused on the real-world impact of artificial intelligence in healthcare. The show is hosted by Dr. Heather Bassett, Chief Medical Officer at Xsolis, and is produced in partnership with HealthcareNOW Radio.

Exploring AI Through Industry Voices

AI Amplified features conversations with healthcare leaders discussing the challenges and opportunities of integrating AI into clinical and operational workflows. The podcast aims to highlight how AI can support healthcare delivery when implemented responsibly.

“As the healthcare industry continues to explore and embrace the potential of AI, it’s critical that we center the conversation on thoughtful, responsible implementation,” said Dr. Bassett. “AI Amplified is a platform for those conversations focused on impact, accountability, and the people driving innovation forward.”

Inaugural Episode with Dr. Stephanie Lahr

The first episode, titled “From Med School to CMIO to CIO to AI Leadership,” features Dr. Stephanie Lahr, CEO and Founder of Vital Thread Advisory. Dr. Lahr shares insights from her career path — including her roles as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) — and discusses how her clinical background informs her current work in advising health systems on AI strategy and digital transformation.

About the Host and Xsolis’ AI Work

Dr. Bassett leads both the clinical services and data science teams at Xsolis. She played a key role in developing the company’s Care Level Score, an AI-driven algorithm that powers Dragonfly, Xsolis’ utilization management platform. The Dragonfly platform is used by hundreds of hospitals, health systems, and health plans.

Xsolis has been working in AI for over a decade, using human-in-the-loop and predictive models to help providers and payers streamline medical necessity decision-making. The company reports that its AI technologies, including newer generative AI tools, have collectively saved customers more than $1.5 billion.
